Distribution of 2.2 Million Qurans Part of Global Ramadan Initiative

IQNA – Saudi Arabia has launched its annual global Ramadan initiative, which includes distribution of 2.2 million copies of the Quran.

Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Sheikh launched in Riyadh on Sunday the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Ramadan programs for 1447 AH. The programs include initiatives for iftar and distribution of dates among Muslims in 120 countries worldwide.

It will provide 1,000 tons this year—an increase of 300 tons compared with last year—reaching 120 countries, including 18 new countries.

The programs also include the distribution of 2.2 million copies of the Holy Quran and its translations.

Speaking on the occasion of the launch, Al-Sheikh affirmed that the ministry has mobilized all human and organizational resources to ensure the initiatives reach beneficiaries efficiently.
